The Trial: A New Translation Based on the Restored Text

The Trial - Franz Kafka I do get the dystopian references and the satire that Kafka laid beneath it. I'm just not sure I'm fully able to appreciate this book. I really feel it loses something in the translation even the newest one. I wish I could read German. The story also feels unfinished and a little disjointed. As it should considering it was unfinished and pieced together by a friend. Breon Mitchell's translation at least feels closer to other of Kafka's works which are on a reread (or to read) list as I had read them so long agoI can see myself rereading this in the future in order to glean more out of it.
