Path Through the Woods - I'm not sure what possessed my mother to give me this book as a gift as the author mostly writes bodice rippers, but I knew she'd ask about it so I had to read it. I was in for a surprise. It turns out this book is a war time mystery and not half badly written. It tells the story of a downed Lancaster bomber and an English town that wants to raise a memorial on the crash site. Unfortunately the process exposes what at first seem a few contradictions in some of the townspeople's history and character. Which eventually leads to a very not expected ending. There is, of course, a romance but it's decently meshed with the rest of the story. I recommend it for anyone that likes a good mystery.
